The relationship of the workflow status in Tax Manager compared to Web Lodgements are as follows:
This functionality is controlled by the APS Cloud Services running on your server. If the workflow updates have stopped, please follow the steps below to resolve the issue.
β
Step One:
Locate the APS Cloud Services on your server, more information on locating the Cloud Services is found in this article: Cloud Services.
Stop both the Services.
Re-start both services and after a couple of minutes, refresh to ensure they are still running.
Make a change in Web Lodgements to force a change of the APS Status and check Tax Manager has been updated accordingly.
Step Two:
Ask your IT department to check the Firewall ports are opened/Proxy rules as per this article: Firewall/Proxy Rules.
If you need to change any of those settings, after doing so, please stop and restart the APS Cloud Services again and re-test the function.
Step Three:
If the status changes are still not flowing through to Tax Manager, please follow these steps:
On the server where the APS Cloud Services are installed, bring up Task Manager.
In the list of currently running processes, locate APSNZTaxReturn and End task on that process.
Stop both APS Cloud Services.
Restart both APS Cloud Services, wait for 2 minutes and, refresh the Services screen to ensure both are still running.
Open a web browser and go to the local host page as per this article: Access APS: How to update your APS Cloud products.
Click on Install All and wait a minute or so to see if the Access APS NZTaxReturn services updates.
When complete, the Install Version and the Latest Version should match.
Re-test the Status updates from NZ Tax Web and check if they are now flowing through to Tax Manager/NOA tab.
Step Four:
Stop the APS Cloud Services again.
From Control Panel, Programs, uninstall Access APS NZ Tax Return.
Next, re-install this product β you will be able to locate the *.MSI installer file on the Server in this location: C:\ProgramData\Reckon\APS\Downloads.
You will need to look inside each of the subfolders to locate the correct MSI file for APSNZTaxReturn.X.X.X.msi, and you must install the most recent version (highest version number, or sort by most recently modified)
Once re-installed, start the APS Cloud Services again.
Wait approximately 10 minutes and then re-test the NZ Tax status updates.
If the status update is still not flowing through, please refer to this article:Debug logging, to further troubleshoot the issue.
