Practice Management: Unable to determine your connection file. Overflow(aAEncryption)

Unable to log on to Central.

After entering the connection string in the aADBConf.exe.the following error appears: Unable to save the connection information. Need to be at least 8 bytes for encryption. Overflow (6). A critical error occurred during the encryption process.

Potential causes that cause this error are:

  • A new language pack has been installed.

  • A different language is set in the Current system locale.

Follow the below to solve:

  • Check the Current system locale under Regional Settings and ensure it is set to English.

  • If the issue began after installing a new language pack:

  • Uninstall the recently added language pack

  • If the issue persists, perform a system restore to revert the changes.
