Why some reports may appear duplicated after our recent update

Following a recent update to NZ Tax, you may have noticed reports in your list that appear to be duplicated. We understand this may have caused some confusion, so we’d like to explain why this has occurred and how it can be resolved.

As part of a recent NZ Tax update, IR3 return reports and IR526 donation tax credit claim form reports are now stored separately, as each relates to a different form type. Previously, both report types appeared together, which was not intended.

Reports generated before this update remain in the system under a different reference key, meaning newly generated reports do not overwrite them and may appear as duplicates. This only affects reports created prior to the update.

The screenshot below shows an example of both report sets appearing in the list.

To correct the report, remove all existing reports and then generate them again. This will leave you with a single, updated set of reports moving forward.
