To lodge prior years returns in Elite form, please make sure the Elite forms are installed in the lodgement machine.
Check the settings under Tax Manager, User Settings & System and User Settings.
1. From Tax Manager, click User Settings.
2. The Options screen will open.
The default ELS_Lodge_Path and ELS_Receive_Path are:
C:\Adv2000\TaxForms\Lodge
C:\Adv2000\TaxForms\Received
You will need to confirm these locations exist on your computer or Network.
You should also have complete rights to these locations.
Note: You may have setup where shared drives on a network are used. If this is your case, you will need to create a folder on the C drive and direct the location to that folder.
Once the User Settings, Option Paths are setup correctly.
1. Go to System Administration Consoles, System and User Settings.
2. Click on View Settings, System.
3. From System Settings, click on AUSTAX. Find the ELS_Lodge_Path and ELS_Receive_Path fields.
4. The ELS_Lodge_Path and ELS_Receive_Path fields should match the same location from Tax manager User Settings, If they are not the same please update these to be exactly the same as your user Settings.
We recommend to use the the ADV2000 Folder as that is the location of the installed software.
Both locations should now have the same Paths and the user have full access to the ADV2000/Taxforms folder.
5. Open Batch Processing.
6. Select the return confirm the Lodgement Method is set to ELS.
7. Click Apply To Lodge the return. The default method will be ELS, change it to SBR.
8. The SBR Lodgement Window appears confirming the lodgement is sending ELS Documents.
9. Due to the SBR method for ELS Lodgement being used, it’s common for the system to attempt to connect to the ELS gateway via SBR multiple times. Do not cancel this process, it can take up to 100 times.
10. Once the return is connected and lodged, the message 'All Forms Lodged Successfully' will display. You can finish the lodgement process by printing the Validation Report.
