Tax Australia: Error: 'UNKNOWN EXCEPTION' in the Batch Processing screen

'UNKNOWN EXCEPTION -An unknown error occurred while processing the ATO Validation Rules. The exception message - Object reference not set to an instance of an object'

There are no V errors appearing in the return but in the Batch Processing screen, SBR Errors appears under the Lodgement column.

Follow the below:

  1. Go to File Explorer.

  2. Search for the SBR.Validation.Dll file.

  3. If the SBR.Validation.Dll file is not in the ADV2000/Taxforms folder, copy and paste it in the ADV2000/Taxforms folder.

  4. If the location is correct, a script will need to provided by us to clear the error.
