Practice Management: Error 'Unable to obtain timesheet lock. You will only be able to view the timesheets'

When a user launches their desktop timesheet via the Timesheet module, they receive the error 'Unable to obtain timesheet lock. You will only be able to view the timesheets'.

The user experiencing the issue cannot access their own or anyone else's timesheet from the Timesheet Administrator console. However, another user can log in to the Timesheet Administrator module to view the affected user's timesheet.


Hotfix for this issue

The problem described in this article has been fixed as per the Practice Management 11.3.5 release notes.

How to install the Hotfix

  1. Extract or unzip the files to your APS Downloads folder or to a suitable folder in your network.

  2. Ensure that all Advance applications are closed.

  3. Copy and replace all the component files to the Adv2000 folder on every user's workstation and/or terminal server where APS is installed.
