As of 15 May 2025, the process has been improved to import data from XPA into a New Zealand Tax IR10. Please refer to the steps below:
Import from XPA to IR10
Before beginning the import, ensure there is an IR10 attachment; if not, add the attachment in Web Returns.
Open the Desktop APS main menu, Central Console.
Go to the Tax Returns band, click IR10.
Click the XPA button to Import data from XPA. The data will show in desktop and will also populate into the web return IR10 attachment.
If you need to edit the data:
Use one of the two options:
Update the fields in the IR10 in Web Returns, save return, go to return actions, then sync to ledger.
Delete the IR10 attachment in Web Returns. In the Tax Returns Console, Import from XPA to overwrite the existing data in the desktop and web return.
