'Type mismatch' error when creating a tax return

To resolve this:

  1. Run a repair of the latest APS Practice Management on the workstation.

  2. Confirm you're repairing the most recent version.

  3. To check the version of APS you are running, refer to the article Access APS Check the current version of APS installed

Note: Exit out of APS before running the repair.
