The error message typically indicates that APS Tax was not installed using the Run as Administrator option, as outlined in the installation instructions.
To resolve this issue, you will need to uninstall all Tax components and then reinstall them.
Uninstall Tax
Open Control Panel.
Click on Program and Features.
Locate the APS Elite forms file and drop down the box to select Uninstall.
Uninstall all Access APS Tax Manager and Elite Forms versions.
Locate the Access APS Tax install and Uninstall.
Reinstall both Access APS Tax Manager and Elite Forms and Access APS Tax using Run as Administrator.
Reinstall Tax
🤓Tip: We recommend Installing Access Elite first and then Access APS Tax.
Locate your Access Elite software files (2001 to current). You may need to download them from My Access Portal.
Locate the latest version of your Access APS Tax file.
Right Click on the Access Elite 2001-2011 file.
Go to Properties, Unblock the file. You will need to do this for every Software file.
Right click on Access Elite 2001-2011 file and select Run as Administrator.
Continue the process for all Access Elite software installs and Access APS Tax.
⚠️Important: You still need to select Run as Administrator even if you are the administrator
⚠️Important: Running a repair will not resolve the issue.
