An issue has been identified within IAS where the error ‘CMN.ATO.AS.EM98062’ may appear during pre‑lodge or lodgement.
This message is triggered by a missing amount in label 4/W5 PAYG tax withheld. While this label was removed from the form in line with ATO specifications, the requirement is currently under review by the ATO.
As an interim solution, the field has been reinstated in the Activity Statement to prevent the error. You will need to download the latest files to apply this update.
Follow the below to download and save the files:
Download the ASFormI_Summary_Fix_File.zip file.
Extract the contents to the C:\Program Files (x86)\Advance Tax\Tax directory.
Overwrite the existing files when prompted.
⚠️Important: The return may need to be refreshed by entering a duplicate amount in the return, saving it, and clicking refresh. Then remove the duplicate amount, save the return, and try pre-lodging it again.
