Check your regional settings on your operating system as the negative value appearance may have changed to be brackets rather than a negative sign.
Follow the below:
Click on Control panel.
Clock and Region.
Region.
Customize format.
Negative Number format.
The Negative number format should be -1.1 and not (1.1).
