Tax Australia: Error: 'Test has failed: Exception [STMException], Message = Message Security Exception occurred calling VANguard STS'

The error occurs when lodging and pre-filling the tax return or trying to create an Activity Statement.

Check the following two options:

  1. The server time and location should be same as shown on website timeanddate.com

  2. The serial number of the Machine Credential should match with the Machine Credential that has been configured in SBR configuration.

If the issue persists, create new machine credentials from RAM again and configure it in SBR configuration.
