Tax Returns that have not yet been successfully lodged can be deleted from the Cloud and Desktop software (Tax Manager and Central Console/Tax Returns band). Please follow the steps below:

Locate your return on the Client Returns page.
Click on the View Return Details button.
Along the bottom of the screen, click on the Return Actions menu.
Click on Delete Return.
A confirmation message is displayed, the check box must be selected in order to proceed.
Once the deletion is successful, a popup message will appear top right.
The return will automatically be removed from Tax Manager/Central Console/Tax Returns band after a short period of time.
The tax return has now been deleted from the Cloud database and this change will flow though to Tax Manager and/or the Central Console/Tax Returns band.

If you later find the return is required, it can be regenerated from Tax Manager/Central Console in the same way as originally created.

For GST returns, the return is deleted and the focus refreshed to the previous return, unless there isnโt one for the selected tax year, in which case a "no return found" message is displayed.
Permission to the Delete button
Access to the delete button is granted by ticking Agent: Admin. role in Joe Admin/Tax Management/Web Permissions:
