Practice Management: Error: The Advance Database Administrator has not set up a user account for the Windows login...

A new user is already set up on APS but can not open the APS software. They receive 'The Advance Database Administrator has not set up a user account for the Windows login "name". You will not be able to run Advance until this is done.'

To resolve the issue, please complete the following steps to check if the Windows Profile Name is missing from the Fee Earner Console: Login Name.

To locate the Windows Profile Name:

  1. In the computer search bar, type Settings.

  2. Go to Accounts.

  3. Take note of the Windows Profile Name.

To check it is entered in APS:

  1. Go to APS Main Pane, Fee Earner Console, Details Page, Login Name Field/Instance.

  2. Check if the Windows Profile Name is present, enter or adjust as required.
