Tax Australia: Create and send a support copy of a tax return

Support copies of a tax return are required by the Support team to assist with different issues and scenarios. To obtain a support copy, please follow the below instructions according to the form you are using.


If you are using Tax Elite:

  1. Open the tax return (and keep it open).

  2. Follow the path pointing to your tax return.

  3. Go to Start, My Computer, C drive, ADV2000 folder, Taxforms folder, Data folder.

  4. Look for the string of numbers with the .tax file (for example, 28602.TAX) in the Data folder.

  5. Copy the file to your desktop.

  6. Contact support and use the link and password sent by the Support specialist to upload the Tax return.

📌Note: Serv-U data is automatically deleted after fourteen days.


If you are using Advance tax:

  1. Open the return.

  2. Click the blue Tax circle on the top left corner.

  3. Click Save, Support Export.

  4. Save the file to your preferred location.

  5. Contact support and use the link and password sent by the Support specialist to upload the Tax return.
