Please take the following steps immediately

  • Ensure your IT team or managed service provider is aware of this advisory before approving June 2026 Patch Tuesday updates.

  • Pause or defer KB5094126 on all workstations running APS applications — this includes machines managed via Windows Update, WSUS, or Intune.

  • If the update has already been installed and you are experiencing multiple login prompts, please contact your IT team for support. If the issue cannot be resolved, contact the Access Support team for rollback guidance.

  • Do not attempt to reinstall or repair APS applications as a workaround — the issue lies in the Windows security layer, not the application itself.

How to Defer or Remove the Update

If the update has not yet been installed, you can defer it via: Settings > Windows Update > Advanced options and pause updates for up to five weeks.

For managed environments, block the update via WSUS approval policies or Intune update rings.

If the update has already been installed, it can be removed via:

  • Settings > Windows Update > Update history > Uninstall updates, or

  • Elevated Command Prompt: wusa /uninstall /kb:#######
