There are several reasons why the project may be missing. Once the project is found, you do not need to continue with the remaining steps.
Check if the project has been archived:
From the APS Applications List open Workpaper Management, Project Manager.
Click the Show Archived Projects button.
(Located to the right of the Roll icon from the Project toolbars).
Check if the project has been accidentally moved to one of the following places:
APS Applications List, Central Console, Client, Projects.
APS Applications List, Central Console, Matter, Projects.
APS Applications List, Central Console, XPA Ledgers, Projects.
🤓Tip: If the project is found after checking these locations, right‑click the project and select Move Project to place it in the correct location.
Project was linked to an XPA ledger and it is missing after balancing forward:
Follow the below to determine if the project was linked to the backup ledger:
Open XPA.
Go to File, Open/Select, type the Ledger name in the Filename search field.
Make note of whether there are multiple copies of the ledgers with a similar name.
Check under the Link column to see if the ledger has been linked to a Client or a Matter.
If the ledger hasn't been linked to a Client, right-click on the ledger and select Edit ledger's link to PM client/matter client/matter.
Enter the relevant Client and click OK to update.
Go back to Central Console and check to see if the missing Project appears now.
🤓Tip: The same result can be achieved by Linking an XPA Ledger to a client via Central Console.
Go to Central Console, XPA Ledgers, Ledger list, right click and select Link a file to this client.
