Please note that with this change, returns are now bulk selected at the Ready to Lodge status, rather than Approved.
As we adjust to this workflow change, you will need to manually step through returns from Approved to Ready to Lodge before they can be bulk selected for lodgement. We expect this to be a one off task only for the returns that were already waiting at approved after the update.
Solution
The table below outlines the workflow statuses for both Desktop and Cloud environments.
Follow the below steps to move the return through the workflow statuses:
When a client’s return is first worked on in the cloud, opening or creating the return will automatically place it in the Return Status: NEW.
As you begin preparing the return, its status will automatically update to DRAFT.
Once the return has been drafted, it moves into the READY FOR REVIEW stage.
After the return has been reviewed, it progresses to the APPROVE RETURN stage, indicating it's ready for client approval and signing.
If further changes are required, selecting REWORK RETURN will move the return back to the Rework stage for adjustments.
Once the return has been signed by the client, selecting APPROVE RETURN will move it to the READY TO LODGE stage in the workflow.
If the return needs updating, select the NEEDS REVISION option. Revise the return and step through the status workflows to get back to READY TO LODGE.
The return is now in the status of READY TO LODGE, select the LODGE RETURN button to lodge the return.
