Tax Australia: Unlock a tax return

The Tax return is showing a padlock and is locked

Note: Confirm that you have Administrator rights or rights to the Extract Log Maintenance application. If you don't have access, ask your administrator to remove the lock for you.

Follow the below steps to unlock the return:

  1. From Tax Manager, click on Action, Extract Log Maintenance.

  2. Highlight the user's name, right click and select Drill Down Details.

  3. Check the details belong to the correct return.

  4. Click X to close.

  5. Right click on the user again.

  6. Click Remove Log.

  7. The padlock will be removed. You may need to click on the refresh button if it still appears.
