You may find that the performance of Access APS consoles such as Tax Manager are very slow to open.
The slowness is usually related to the SQL Configuration.
The protocol TCP/IP needs to be Enabled on the RDP Server. It's a standard issue with SQL Express installations that the protocol isn't enabled by default)
1. Open SQL Configuration Manager.
2. The SQL Server Service will need to be restarted after changing the above setting:
