Tax Australia: Error: 'Beneficiary already exists' when adding beneficiaries in the TFN Information Tab in the tax manager

This error may also occur when adding a non-client in Trust distributions.

This message appears when the beneficiary is already added to the system.

To fix the error, Beneficiary already exists:

  1. Search for the non-client in the Search bar rather than creating a new non-client.

  2. Add an asterisk and press Enter in the search bar for the selection to appear.

Note: This issue can appear for the Trust/Partnership distribution as well for APS Elite forms.
