Tax New Zealand: How to update the Ledger and Cloud Return back to INT Provisional value from rollover

Cloud Returns have been automatically synchronised with the Ledger and the INT Provisional values have been overwritten.

Updated over a month ago

Follow the steps below to revert the P1 amount due back to the INT value from rollover:

  1. Open Central Console, Tax Returns Band, Ledger.

  2. In the 2025 year, reset the P1 amounts due to be INT (instead of STD) and re-enter the original amounts (this should automatically populate).

  3. Tick to save.

  4. In the Cloud return select the Details tab.

  5. Set the Return Calc Date to after the P1, 29 August 2024.

  6. Save Return.

  7. From the Return Actions menu, click the new option Confirm Return.

  8. This will update the Payment Schedule report with the P1 INT Prov from the ledger and the P2, P3 and Terminal Tax/Refund amounts from the calculated return.

  9. Generate Reports.

  10. View the Payment Schedule report.

  11. Once you are happy with the values, from the Return Actions menu choose Sync to Ledger. Moving to the Ready status will do the same.
