You may wish to use these steps if a Manager has left your practice, requiring another person to supersede them. Alternatively, you may use this function to move all clients from one partner/department to another.
Please note before beginning:
This function is an all or nothing function. You will not be able to supersede a specific amount, of clients from one Manager/Partner/Department to another.
Please follow the same steps if you wish to supersede a client partner. Make sure in this case that you instead use the Partner attribute.
The steps below apply to Client attributes however this same process can be used at Client Attributes, Matter Details, Fee earner Details and Internal Matter Details levels.
Go to the APS main menu, System Administration Consoles, Attributes.
From the left hand bottom corner, select the Maintenance tab.
From the left hand top panel click on Client Attributes
From the right hand screen expand the Manager attribute. This will give you name of all the available managers.
Right click on the Manager that you want to supersede and then select the Manager you want to supersede with.
The system will confirm the change and show you how many instances of the manager is there.
Select the new manager and click on supersede button to perform this task.
