Practice Management: Security Model

The Security Model allows the practice to restrict which users have access to which clients. This is achieved by assigning users and clients to a set of predefined Security Model groups.

The Security Model Group is found in in the System Administration Console.

  • We group the Administrator: Fee earners with this group as the Security Model group will have access to all clients.

  • Further security model groups can be added or edited in this console.

  • If you wish delete a group, you will need to create a client list to confirm it has no used.

    Note: Do not rename or delete the Administrator Security Model Group. In order to be able to deliver a filtering solution,we rely on the actual word 'Administrator'.

  • This group is important because only users within this group can see all the clients. If a client is assigned to a security model group that is then renamed or deleted, this client can only ever be retrieved by a user belonging to the administrator group.
