As part of the ongoing move of New Zealand Tax to the cloud, tax functions previously available in Tax Manager are being progressively relocated to either the cloud platform or the Tax Return Console.
The function used to increase or decrease the number of provisional tax instalments following a change in balance date has now been moved from Tax Manager to the Tax Return Console. This change was made on 21 July 2026 with the release of New Zealand Tax 2026.06.
Previously, this function was accessed through Tax Manager as per below:
The function is now available in the Tax Return Console. To access it, select the Ledger and then open the TY tab. The process for adding or deleting instalments remains unchanged from when the function was available in Tax Manager.
